“We all know Canada has problems with the future lines drawn on Arctic maps and we all know Canada lives in the shadow of its larger neighbour to the south. The abject cruelty shown by Canadian soldiers in international conflicts is scantily referred to, as indeed is the utter incapacity of this county to host a major international event, due to its inferiority complex, born of a trauma being the skinny and weakling bro to a beefy United States and a colonial outpost to the United Kingdom, whose Queen smiles happily from Canadian postage stamps.”

Russia saying Canada has an inferiority complex? Pot, kettle, black, et cetera.
I lived there and I read a few Russian media outlets. With the exception of only a few credible papers and journalists, all media over there is just on acid. Commonly accepted knowledge includes the world being ruled by Rothschild, the world will end in 2012, World War 3 will be fought over Russia’s oil and gas reserves and the USSR will return in 2017.
The populace will believe virtually anything and, younger informed generation excepted, is in great denial of inhabiting a pariah shithole bully country.
It will take them another generation to get over their hangups. If there’s any Russians left by then, we might start taking them seriously. For the time being they’re best kept in the asylum and treated accordingly.
